First founded in 1955, the company began manufacturing air conditioning systems and dehumidifiers under the Comfort-Aire brand. Today, Comfort-Aire is a leading producer of heating, cooling, and dehumidification products, owned by MARS, a leading supplier of HVACR components and motors. MARS acquired heat controller in 2013.
